Leslie “Mano” Cockrum
Artivist | Bighorn Shoppe Creatix
Leslie "Mano" Cockrum is the visionary behind Bighorn Shoppe, a Longmont, Colorado-based hub for handmade soaps and bath products. As a Hopi and Dineh Queer Owner and Creatrix, Mano infuses her Indigenous heritage into every creation.
A dedicated supporter of Her Many Voices Foundation from its inception, Mano is honored to contribute to the foundation's CBD skincare line. As a passionate CBD user herself, she seamlessly blends Cannabidiol with her carefully curated selection of bath essentials, ranging from luxurious bar soaps to soothing bath salts.
Since 2004, Mano has been an influential Artivist in Denver, Colorado, spearheading awareness campaigns and on-the-ground actions. She actively serves on boards and leadership councils for Indigenous and social justice organizations, while also showcasing her musical talents at various fundraising events.
In recent years, Mano's journey has taken a shift due to chronic illness, focusing more on activities at home. CBD has played a crucial role in helping her strike a balance between work and home responsibilities, as she raises her children and co-manages Bighorn Shoppe with her daughter since 2017.
Her crafting process involves concocting "recipes" from the most nourishing ingredients nature provides, combined with essential oils to invigorate and soothe the soul. Mano's commitment to her craft and community shines through in every product, creating a harmonious blend of Indigenous wisdom, sustainability, and self-care.
