Her Many Voices, founded by Alicia Fall, emerged from her passion for music and humanitarian work, evolving significantly after a pivotal experience in 2010. Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Alicia traveled there and was deeply moved by the resilience and urgent needs of the community.

This experience sharpened her vision for the foundation, highlighting the important role of creative storytelling, paired with empowerment and education in driving social change. Today, Her Many Voices is not just an organization but a vibrant community space that mirrors a communal table where everyone is heard and valued and resources are shared, all dedicated to nurturing and honoring Mother Earth.

Her Many Voices deeply understands the transformative power of connection and community. We believe by bringing people together, we can rediscover our collective identity and affirm our significance in the world. Our work centers on creating spaces where individuals can connect, share their stories, and support each other, emphasizing that each interaction is an opportunity to strengthen our community bonds.

This philosophy is woven through our initiatives, ensuring that every project not only community engagement but also reinforces the essential human need to belong and contribute meaningfully to the larger tapestry that is life.

Education

Education is the foundation of change. By sharing sustainable
practices and Indigenous wisdom, we empower communities to
make informed decisions that benefit both their lives and the
environment. Our programs bridge ancient knowledge with modern
solutions, ensuring the past enriches future generations.

Empowerment

Empowerment fosters resilience and independence. By providing
tools and resources, we uplift individuals—especially women and
children—to thrive as leaders who drive meaningful change for their
communities and the environment.

Environment

The environment is at the heart of our work. We focus on
regenerative solutions that sustain Mother Earth, like our Hemp and
Humanity initiative. Hemp, a sustainable crop, requires less water,
no pesticides, and offers versatile uses—from clothing to biofuel—
helping reduce our ecological footprint.

  • Shannon Francis

    Sovereignty Garden Project Coordinator

    Shannon Francis (with whom we work on our Sovereignty Garden Project) is Dineh (Navajo) from Shiprock, New Mexico and Hopi from Kykotsmovi, Arizona. She is Towering House clan born for Red Running through the Water clan.

  • Melissa Ivey

    Art Education Director

    Melissa Ivey develops and provides training and workshops for our Activate & Elevate arts program in the US and Haiti. Ms Ivey is an Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Vocalist, National Touring Artist, Certified NeuroSculpting Facilitator and Musical Doula.

  • Tamara Cantave

    Indigenomics Coordinator

    Tamara Cantave, founder of Help Hayti and HAACP, holds a BA in Psychology and an Advanced Study Certification in Global Studies. Through Indigenomics, she looks to empower generations to come.

  • Lisa Montgomery

    Veterans and Tribal Relations Coordinator

    Lisa Montgomery is a member of the Penobscot Indian Nation in Maine, where she serves on Tribal Council. She has an A.S. in Logistics Management from the Community College of the Air Force with military service from 2000 to 2004.

  • Angelo Digangi

    Executive Director of Elder Care and Grandparent Resource Centers

    Mr. DiGangi founded The Community Advocacy Center in New York, served as a University of Berkeley Fellow and New York City Presbytery Missionary (1990- 2010). DiGangi was elected to be a Judicial Delegate for four terms in Queens County New York.

    Haiti Projects Coordinator

    Adeler was born and raised in Trou ChouChou, Petit-Goave, Haiti. He is an agronomist and received a Master's Degree in Social Economy and Solidarity at Établissement Supérieur de la Francophonie pour l'Administration et le Manangement.

  • Jacques "Emmanuel" Saint Laurent

    Haiti Projects Coordinator

    Monsieur Saint Laurent wears many hats. He is our communications go between for HMV and communities, as well as between communities themselves.

    Henriette Foundation Leader

    Sarry Jean is Haitian born: raised in Petit-Goâve, 3rd section Trou Chouchou Cadet. She comes from a very large family and is following in the footsteps of her father, Henri Jean.

  • Jean "Nasson" Ronel Dorce

    St. Alphonse de Cadet School Superintendent

    Monsieur Dorce is our charge for the school. He donated land for and manages the school garden, which provides food for the students and staff during school hours. Nasson is a crucial team member in the hemp building project.

    Andrea Singer grew up in rural upstate New York. She has worked with children of all ages on a variety of levels over the years. Educating and supporting others as they grow and gain independence has always been something she does naturally.
