Her previous experience includes serving as Executive Director of the East Hawaiʻi Cultural Center in Hilo, HI, and the David Brower Center Executive Director in Berkeley, CA. During her tenure, she oversaw these multi-use facilities' strategic direction, financial stability, and daily operations. Laurie's accomplishments at the Brower Center included leading a successful strategic planning initiative, managing a $1.7 million budget, and ensuring the center's financial sustainability.
Laurie's expertise also extends to event management and fundraising. She has a demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative, culturally relevant programs, cultivate partnerships, and secure funding for non-profit organizations.
